Treat them just like your natural teeth:

We do not currently offer general anesthesia, but we provide oral conscious sedation to help you relax during the procedure. This medication often makes you forget the procedure entirely. We will provide a prescription that you can fill at your preferred pharmacy.

Important: You must arrange for a driver to take you home after taking the sedation medication, as you should not operate any vehicles or machinery while under its effects.

You might experience slight bleeding for the first 24 hours after your implant placement. If you notice more bleeding than expected, please contact the clinic.

A time-tested home remedy to aid clotting and reduce bleeding involves using tea bags. Simply dampen a regular tea bag, wring out the excess water, and place it on the affected area. The tannic acid in the tea leaves helps with clotting. You can use multiple tea bags if needed and replace them as they become saturated with blood. Repeat this process as often as necessary.

Although titanium dental implants have a success rate of over 95%, there is still a possibility of failure. Factors that can contribute to implant failure include:

• Failure to integrate with the bone
• Smoking
• Diabetes

If an implant fails within the first year, your dentist will replace it at no additional cost to you.
