Dr. Baylie Carroll

There are several little reasons that made dentistry the perfect career path for Dr. Baylie. Growing up the eldest daughter in a family of seven children, taking care of people has always been in her nature. This, in combination with her love of science, led her to pursue a career in health care. However, Dr. Baylie picked dentistry after shadowing and seeing how rewarding it was that a small demonstration of compassion can have such a positive impact on the patient. Further, she enjoys dentistry because it allows her to work with her hands and meet the challenge of helping restore one of the only parts of the body that can’t heal itself.

Where did you study dentistry?

Dr. Baylie has lived in Kansas City, MO for the past eight years, where she attended Rockhurst University to receive her degree in biochemistry and then University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). During dental school, Dr. Baylie was selected to take part in the Endodontic Honors Program, where she gained further education and experience treating root canals. Dr. Baylie is excited to return to the St. Louis area, where she grew up, so that she can help serve the dental needs of the community that raised her.

Outside of the dental office what do you like to do?

In herfree time Dr. Baylie enjoys reading a good book, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and spending time with her family, especially her 10 nieces and nephews. She is also an avid coffee drinker and you can find her serving lattes with her mom from their family coffee camper at the Lake St. Louis Farmer’s Market most Saturdays.
