Frequently Asked Dental Questions – O’Fallon, MO
We’re Happy to Keep You Informed
Dentistry can be very simple, but in other cases it can get complicated, especially when you’re in need of a service you’ve only recently learned about. Whether you are unsure when you need to visit for routine care or you need to learn more about a service before you feel comfortable completing it at our office, our team is here to help. Below, you can find answers to some of our most common questions. Feel free to call us directly if needed!
How often should I visit for a checkup?
We recommend that you come in at least once every six months. During this visit, we’ll perform a detailed exam and do our best to complete a cleaning with time permitting. Keep in mind that you should bring your child in for their first exam when their first tooth erupts or within six months of their first birthday. Routine exams and cleanings are necessary for maintaining long-term oral health and catching dental issues before they develop.
How should I replace missing teeth?
While there are traditional methods for replacing missing teeth available at our office, we highly recommend considering dental implants. Not only do they make chewing, speaking, and smiling easier than ever, but they can be combined with other restorations to replace several teeth at a time. For example, replacing multiple consecutive teeth or all teeth in a given arch is easy with dental implants!
Can you combine dental implants with my denture?
Absolutely! By placing a series of dental implants throughout the mouth and giving them time to heal, we can confidently place a denture on top. This is perfect for those who struggle to use a denture every day or have grown tired of replacing it every few years. Whether you are replacing a partial denture or a full one, dental implants can improve your quality of life and give you additional confidence in your smile.
I don’t have insurance. Is there another option?
While we are happy to accept many dental insurance plans, we want to make our services as accessible as possible. That’s why we also offer an in-house member plan that takes away the insurance companies as a middleman. Instead of having to meet deductibles, fulfill waiting periods, or worry about annual maximums, you can get all the basic services you need at one flat rate and savings on additional treatments!
Can I visit for emergency dentistry?
Yes. If you call today, we will do everything possible to get you seen the same day. When you call, we’ll ask how soon we can get you in and treated for your dental emergency.
Can you restore my teeth without using metal?
We work hard to incorporate materials into our office that are entirely metal-free, including zirconia. This material is not only durable, but can match your existing tooth enamel exactly.
How can I improve my smile’s appearance?
Our office has many solutions to keep your smile looking as radiant as possible. Whether it’s through porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, clear aligners, or another service, feel free to get in touch with us to schedule your complimentary smile makeover consultation.
